Natural green beryl (aquamarine) crystals from the classic Jos Plateau locality in Plateau State, Nigeria. Specimen is approximately 2.5” wide at its widest point, 3” tall and 129 grams. This specimen shows the typical pale green to greenish-white color of Nigerian material, with hexagonal crystal forms, pointed terminations, and natural iron-oxide staining. Transparency ranges from translucent in clearer zones to more included or milky in others.
Mineral: Beryl (variety green beryl / aquamarine)
Condition: Completely natural and untreated. Surface etching and iron staining are typical for material from this alluvial/pegmatite district.
