Awonderful 3-page signed manuscript letter from the Original Bozo the ClownStephen G. Brenner.
The letteris addressed to Wally Beach at Springfield, MA, dated 2-25-69, with theoriginal mailing envelope. At the time of the letter Wally Beach was the EasternRepresentative for the Three Ring Hunts Circus.
The coverpage of the 3-page letter has some off-set foxing from 2 enclosed newspaperarticles otherwise in excellent condition. The envelope has some age tanning anda few chips on the rear flap. Rear flap rubber stamped with the illustrated sealof the Clowns Of America The Greatest Club on Earth.

HiWally … I have been quite busy with promotions, one really nice one, GrandOpening of the Maryland National Bank Building. Three days January 22-23-24th,10:30 AM – 2 PM. I done Walkaround, and four minute pantomime, plus announcingat $75.00 per day. … I am waiting to see the Home Made Clowns graduates of theClown School at Venice Winter Quarters. These fellows had very good teaches,but I have always said that Clowns Are Born, not made, the younger generationjust don’t have it. True the old timers are passing on to their rewards andsomething had to be done, Paul Jung, Felix Adler, many others who were realclowns, I forgot Buzzy Potts, Charlie Bell were all Big Top Funsters. I havemany nostalgic memories of the past. I love to dream about the days I havespent trouping for many years. I just won’t give up. … I hope to make a tripdown to Sarasota as soon as I catch up with my dates … must close now.
