This is an unused Ontario TAK-1 D2 combo-edge fixed blade. Randall’s Adventure & Training hex with TAK D2, TAK on the ricasso, ONTARIO USA on the reverse. Olive canvas Micarta, full tang, black-coated D2, partial serrations. Cordura nylon sheath included. No box.
USA-made at the old Franklinville, NY plant. That factory is closed.

Condition Notes
No box. Coat and Micarta look unused in the photos — no obvious field wear or sharpening. Factory coating can show bag specks. A handwritten “2” is on one scale (inventory mark). Not an ESEE and not a 1095 TAK-1. This is the D2 combo version. Knife and Cordura sheath ship; no factory box.
Description & History
Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin designed the RAT / TAK knives. Ontario built this TAK-1 line in Franklinville, New York. ESEE is the later Randall company and uses Rowen. Ontario kept the TAK / RAT contract knives until the New York factory shut in 2023.
Most TAK-1s were 1095. This is the scarcer D2 combo-edge run: TAK D2 in the Randall hex, partial serrations, Micarta slabs. Same 10\" chassis as the carbon TAK-1.
