Here is an old US military cartridge belt. The brass end is marked PAT. MILLS & ORNDORFF with 6 patent dates; the oldest being SEPT. 11 '94. This is a tan or khaki color. I believe this was designed to hold 100 rounds (double stacked in the 50 loops) of 30-40 Krag ammo. Most of the loops have been cut and a few have been re-sewn. This has the C-catch closure. This is used. The belt has staining and discoloring. The loops have been cut so they are single loops instead of double. A few of the loops look to be re-sewn, but do not look like they would hold 2 rounds in them. The brass hardware has tarnish and discoloring. There is some light corrosion. There are some worn/frayed areas.
