Original blockbuster sign, this sign hung inside a blockbuster in Rahway, NJ. I was able to get this piece directly from the store owners when they closed. I have been the only owner. Really good condition, just slight wear from when it was used in store. Would be a great a home theater, movie room, basement, man cave or anywhere you have the room. Features the classic 80s-90s Blockbuster video logo.Only small small blemishes I’ve marked with red arrows in the photos. Small scratch about the width of a dime to the left of the first “B” in Blockbuster and a smaller scratch about half the size of the dime to the far right on the edge that’s a chip about the size of a nickel which is on the back and doesn’t effect its display ability when hung by its mounts still present on the back from when it was hung in the store.
The Original Blockbuster Video In Store Sign is a large 3D collectible advertising piece that appears to have been very well professionally made of some foam-board type material. Would have been displayed in a physical Blockbuster store. This sign would have been used to promote the store's products and services, and would have been a recognizable feature for customers. With its nostalgic appeal and large size, this in-store sign would make a great addition to any collection or as a decorative piece for a retro-themed space.
MONSTER of a sign in EXCELLENT displayable condition. One of the largest I have seen aside from the metal illuminated ones that hung outside and will cost you $10,000 if you can locate one. Good luck finding another in this condition at this price, destroyed they now go for over $1000. Probably since Blockbuster was very careful to collect their signage evening destroying them to protect their branding. This sign is far from that in exquisite to fine condition. Last one recently sold here on wasn’t even the 3D version and considerably smaller than this.
