Vintage PEXTO No. 2 riveting hammer, marked “PEXTO No. 2 Rivet 16 oz.” This is a vintage original metalworking / riveting hammer with a 16 oz head and wood handle. The head has the classic narrow riveting / cross peen style on one end with a flat hammer face on the opposite end.
PEXTO, associated with Peck, Stow & Wilcox, was a well-known American tool maker. This hammer appears to be a mid-20th century vintage example and would make a good usable shop tool, restoration piece, or display item for a vintage tool collection.
CONDITION
Used vintage condition. Shows normal wear from age and use, including surface wear, scratches, finish loss, and patina on the head. There is some remaining green paint on the head. The wood handle shows wear, marks, paint residue, and age-related finish wear. Head appears seated on the handle. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
