A charming group of New York World's Fair souvenirs from The American Potter exhibit — a collaborative display by Homer Laughlin and rival potteries where ceramics were made on-site at the fairgrounds.
Included are two miniature toby-style face mugs, approximately 2" tall each.
The 1939 piece is unglazed bisque with a woman's portrait and handle; no chips.
The 1940 piece is glazed ivory with a man's portrait (sailor/Washington style); two small chips.
Both marked "The American Potter / New York World Fair / [Year]" on the base.
Also included are two original wrapped "Worlds Fair Minted Picks" toothpicks — a rare piece of fair food service ephemera.
