Photograph Thornton Wilder 1932 w accompanying student letter For Sale

Historical Photograph of Thornton Wilder at the University of Chicago when he was the instructor for an English class in advanced composition. Author of the letter is a student trying to get into the class and is writing a letter to a friend about his arrival on campus and includes a comment on Thornton Wilder and his \"attitude\"/arrogance. A window into Wilder as an instructor. The letter also is a bit of interesting history on arrival at the University of Chicago, the city, campus impression. Author of the letter later went on to be a reporter for the Toronto Star pre-WWII with an incredible list of famous interviews. He was in the Air Force in WWII. Will provide info/name on him if requested. Owner of photo knew him as a family friend.
