Offering up my Family Era, 1930’s - 1940’s HARDCASTLE Pot, Stamped British Made De Luxe - I’ve recently smoked this pipe to recall what a great smoker it is - For being 80+ years in age, I give this pipe an A. The nomenclature stamps are visible while faded from age and use, the rim and chamber are free of buildup. The chamber has been reamed, no cracks or burnout observed. Light rim darkening at the 6 o’clock, consistent with 80 years of use. Stem holds very light oxidation, a the button lip is there, just slightly worn from time and use. GREAT DRAW, and Large chamber for a Pot. I finished with cleaning the airways in the shank & stem with 99% alcohol - ready to smoke or continue cleaning to your satisfaction upon receipt. I am offering a quantity of my pipe collection, as I slowly try to reduce the collection on - I have been attempting to offer new additions weekly, if not daily.
