Pre-WWI Swiss Model 1875 Pioneer Sidearm Sawback Short Sword with Scabbard. Ricasso is marked with a Swiss cross over \"Weyersberg\", \"Kirschbaum &Cie\", faint \"Solingen\", \"5495\", and \"84\". The grips have one chip. The sawback blade is straight, tight, sharpened (very sharp), no nicks, and has dried oil spots scattered throughout. The scabbard is solid with a couple small dings, some surface rust scattered throughout but mainly on the edges, and is marked on the backside \"S.J.G.17\". Length of the blade measures 19 3/4\" (1 5/8\" wide x 1/4\" thick spine), length of the bayonet is 25 3/8\", and in the scabbard it is 26 9/16\".
Very rare to find these with the scabbard and this style scabbard is extremely rare (typically it is leather).
