This vintage Purina stoneware advertising tray is a unique piece of American farm and agriculture memorabilia. It is made of substantial cream/off-white glazed stoneware with softly rounded rectangular corners and a shallow raised rim.
The front is marked “PURINA MINK CHOW” with checkerboard accents, while the underside is embossed “RALSTON PURINA COMPANY / MAKERS OF MINK BREEDER CHOW AND MINK DEVELOPER CHOW / MADE IN USA.”
This tray would make an interesting addition to a vintage advertising collection, farm or ranch display or Americana decor space. The two holes, on the right & left, originally used for wiring down or securing the trays to cages, a now be used for easy display.
Good vintage condition. No cracks or chips noted. The underside of the piece has age-related wear, including darkened areas and staining. Please examine all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
