Large British military presentation sculpture depicting a mounted cavalryman and standing lancer with horse, displayed on a tiered black base.
The engraved plaque reads:
“Presented to WO2 Potts by the Warrant Officers & Sergeants Mess, The Queen’s Royal Lancers, on completion of 22 years loyal service.”
The plaque bears apparent British silver hallmarks, including a “JCS” sponsor or maker’s mark, and is believed to be sterling silver. This applies only to the presentation plaque. The sculpture itself has not been tested and is conservatively described as silver-finish, possibly electroformed or plated over a cast core—not solid sterling silver.
The base measures approximately 16" in height, 11.5" across and 6.5" depth., as shown. Weighs 12.2 lbs.
Displays well as a substantial piece of Queen’s Royal Lancers, British Army, and cavalry memorabilia.
Note there is damage to the neck that has not been repaired. This is reflected in the price.
