RARE 1960s (or EARLIER) JAPANESE MENKO DISNEY PLUTO w PEG-LEG PETE #334562 READ!About JAPANESE MENKO Cards:I first ran across these cards in a large / diverse collection that I bought. I could tell right away that these cards were OLD and certainly foreign, but that was about it. So, I turned to Google, as we all do and ... well, I got \"some\" answers and some other \"more educated\" guesses. For instance, when I look at advertised 1930\'s and 1940\'s JAPANESE MENKO cards, often they DO look OLDER than mine. Until this listing I always thought see evidence that mine are more likely from the 1960\'s, but ... I have seen people say that theirs (which look like mine) are from the 1950\'s - 1960\'s. So, I generally errored on the side of caution and just \"went with\" the latter 1960\'s generalized dating, but (again), I do NOT KNOW for sure!To that end, I also included among my pictures 2 screenshots from this specific card\'s Google searches, ONE OF WHICH said 1937 and the other said 1950\'s. So, I\'m VERY OPEN to these cards being from the 1950\'s, though I have trouble believing 1937!Regardless, I do know that vintage Disney is desirable as is foreign collectibles; so, combine at least 1960\'s DISNEY with JAPANESE MENKO cards and .. well, you have a conversation piece, if nothing else!Bottom line: I know what I know, believe what I believe, and am totally guessing everywhere else. YOU should do your own research and come to your own conclusions about origins, rarity, conductibility, condition (see additional notes below), etc.If you have any questions, I\'ll be happy to TRY to answer them, but ... you already know that I\'m more unfamiliar with these cards than I am familiar! But I will TRY to answer your questions, even if it\'s just an \"I don\'t know\" or \"I\'m not sure.\" Condition Note: All condition assessments are to one degree or another subjective. So, when it comes to your decision to buy cards, the only opinion about condition that truly matters is yours! With that in mind, please use the closeup pictures that I have provided--YES,this is the actual card you are buying!--including using the \"Hover\" or \"Zoom\" feature provided by for extra close-up views of the front and back of the card in order to come to your own conclusions about condition and purchase worthiness. If you like this card and want to buy it--great! If not, no hard feelings! Thanks for giving it a look! God bless you and your family!
