The front of this tag features a beautiful combination of bright yellow and black. It's quite striking in person, and a great example of the unusual combinations that make MotoArt's Easter Eggs so collectible.
This particular example is #1389 of 5,000.You will receive the exact PlaneTag shown in the photographs, and it comes with its original Boeing PlaneTags backing card and keyring.
The History Behind This PlaneTag
The Boeing 747 revolutionized commercial aviation when it entered service in 1970, introducing the world's first widebody jetliner and earning its familiar nickname, the "Queen of the Skies." The 747 became one of the most recognizable aircraft ever built, serving airlines and cargo operators around the world for more than half a century.
The aircraft used to create this PlaneTag, Boeing 747-200 line #604 (construction number 23138), made its first flight on November 19, 1984, and was delivered to Nippon Cargo Airlines on December 13, 1984, as JA8167. It was the very first aircraft delivered to Nippon Cargo Airlines, helping launch what would become a major international air cargo operation.
After more than two decades flying for Nippon Cargo Airlines, the aircraft began a second chapter with Southern Air in 2006, registered N758SA. It continued hauling freight around the world until its retirement at Mojave, California, in 2012.
MotoArt has preserved pieces of this historic aircraft as part of its officially licensed PlaneTags x Boeing collection.
This is a genuine piece of a Boeing 747 that you can hold in your hand, and a particularly interesting addition to any PlaneTags collection, especially for collectors interested in Easter Egg variants, Boeing aircraft, and the history of the Queen of the Skies.
