Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm Key Chain Fob M.O.V.P.E.R.\"The Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm, also known as M.O.V.P.E.R. or The Grotto, after its lodge equivalent, is an appendant body in Freemasonry\", says WIKI.These date back to about early 1900\'s. They were used as key tags, key fobs and identification tags.Their main purpose was to return lost keys and other important items back to their rightful owners. Back in the day,locksmiths would engrave these fobs with their customer\'s addresses. For a fee, the U.S. Post Office would returnlost keys with these types of fobs on the keychain, to their owners. The U.S. post office continues this service even today.Made out of nickel-silver also called German silver. Nickel silver is stronger and more expensive than brass. And, it doesn\'t tarnish as much as brass. Back then manufacturers chose nickel-silver over brass for higher quality items like these fobs. These look gorgeous and resemble sterling silver.According to WIKI \"The Grotto was grown out of informal meetings by members of the Hamilton Lodge #120 in Hamilton, New York, who wished to seek \"relaxation from the sterner duties of life by holding occasional informal meetings for fun and good fellowship\" and play practical jokes on each other.
