New old stock, box WILL have signs of age-fading, scratches. Comes with Leather sheath that will show age as well-creases, small spots.
We are not sure if these were made in Japan or not. Starting in 2004 they started making them in China and Taiwan. Box says Japan, but it has been marked out. We have over 20 and they are all crossed out. We bought these from a vintage knife store that has gone out of business.
