• CONDITION: Excellent Vintage:Free from any damage or restoration. In gift, or collector-grade, condition.• DISCUSSION: Authentic Italian, RARE collectible Murano art glass clown paperweight/figurine holding a huge bass drum. Its design, size, and expert workmanship make this old hand-constructed glass sculpture both amazing and very hard to find! Weighing 2½ pounds and standing 10 inches tall, it's a stunning, substantial piece of artisticbeauty that would take a prominent place in any art glass collection! We show him in warm and cool lightingand varied backgrounds, to best present a range of appearances. The feet are ground flatin the final finish so the piece stands stable. He's even more beautiful in person! Note: Some places show expected evidence of the nature of hot glass work, including tool marks, carbon deposits, and other remnants of the hand production process. They are visible in several photos. None of these are considered damage by collectors, rather they are evidence of true hand-worked art glass, not unlike the brush strokes of a fine painting.
FULL CONDITION REPORT:We thoroughly inspected this piece andfound nocracks, chips, nicks, scuffs, flea bites, flakes, hairlines, notable scratches, or repairs without evidence of grindingor restoration. Any natural indentations, bubbles, tool marks, and/or any other natural textural features are all original to this piece and normal for hand-blown glass. They are recognized by collectors as not damaged. Please review all high-resolution photographs, at full size, in forming your own opinions.
