ROBERT BOB WINSHIP 1986 LOST WAX BRONZE OF A GORDON SETTER DOG For Sale

Robert J. \"Bob\" Winship (1927-2019) was an award winning wildlife artist whose work appears in collections worldwide. Beginning as a wood carver, he turned his attention to producing bronze sculptures using the lost wax method. This Gordon Setter dog bronze is signed and was produced in 1986. The piece is entirely bronze, including the base. The bronze has been patinated by the artist to depict the true colors of this dog breed (black with mahogany brown). The dog is depicted in a pose one might see in a hunting or field setting, with an elegant headpiece and workmanlike body, accented with a beautifully detailed coat.
