Rare 1922 Rookwood Pottery Elephant Figurine Blue & Beige Experimental Glaze For Sale

Not all Rookwood elephants are the same. :) This one, in a super-rare blue and beige mottled glaze, is superlative. I live in the Cincinnati area and was told by an avid Rookwood collector that this glaze is very rare and was likely experimental. The effect the glaze choice has on this particular form, is perfection, and makes for a very “elephant skin” look. Also wonderful, is the fact it is in mint condition.Marked to base with Rookwood Pottery logo and flames, as well as the date XXII. Also has an old antique store price tag on base as shown.Measures 5” tall, x about 6” long. Will be packed with the utmost care and shipped quickly—likely the very next day!
