A real preserved moon moth is mounted mid flight above a raw quartz crystal, set into a moonlit forest scene built from preserved fern, sheet moss and reindeer moss, dried lavender, tiny dried blooms, pinecone roses and sculpted mushrooms. A glowing blue opalite moon sits in the upper right against a deep midnight background. Housed in a vintage style gold oval frame with cast bow and floral ornament, antique convex bubble glass, sealed kraft backing, and hanging wire already installed.
What I verified: the artist signature and date on the reverse, the Gypsy Ginger Art maker label, the intact hanging wire, and that the glass and frame are sound with only light age wear consistent with the frame style. I have not disassembled the piece to inspect behind the backing.
Because of the curved bubble glass and the fragility of an antique frame, this ships flat and double boxed with a raised collar so nothing rests against the glass face. Insured for full value. Local pickup available in southeastern Massachusetts if you would rather not risk transit.
