Ridgeway Hawthornden Covered Tureen-English Blue&White w/Gilt Trim, c.1890 For Sale

Antique English earthenware covered tureen by Ridgeway, Staffordshire, England, in the desirable Hawthornden pattern, dating to the late Victorian period (circa 1885–1900).  This elegant piece features classic blue-and-white floral decoration with gilt accents with an angular paneled form, and a matching fitted lid. Marked on the underside with the RIDGWAY paintbrush factory mark, confirming English manufacture.  This size is typically considered a small tureen or individual tureen, and is less commonly found than plates or platters in the Hawthornden pattern  This is a preowned antique with good color and only gilt wear consistent with age (see photos); I have not detected any chips, cracks or scratches.  There seems to be a very small rough spot on the lid rim.  The inside has a couple of specs as is shown in photos.
