Rough Rider RR208, Sowbelly Stockman Peacock Green SmoothBone, 3-7/8", 3-blades, brand NEWfrom Old Stock, thus the "Rider"not "Ryder" name. Vintage 2000.
The "RR208" is something of a pocket knifenuance, i.e., some sites show it used to exist, most don't have it atall.
Another hefty RR knife, with the round "RR" horseshoe emblem. The tang of the Clip blade is stamped/engraved with the same horseshoe. Face of the Clip blade has a nice, dark etch of "ALWAYSREADY!" and the "RR" horseshoe.
Notched/grooved and rounded (pocket friendly) nickelsilver bolsters, one end turned one way, the other end the other way, givingthe knife a gentle "serpentine" appearance.
Never used, never sharpened, never carried, gently cleaned. Knife has been in my sole possession for over 25 years, bought as new.Match strike arced pulls. No pits, handle gaps, cracked or chipped handles, particularly good fit and finish.Original tan box, in reasonably good condition, included.
The blades are sharp right out of the box with their manufactured edges, and have strong springs yet still manageable with a thumbnail. They close with a resounding "BANG!" No half-stops.
Pictures are not of the actual knife the buyerwill receive because inventory is low and varies little overall from the generic pictures.
Please note that these are not dye-saturated handles, buta lighter application which shows the natural bone grain in places. Lesssaturated handles is NOT A DEFECT, it's an effect. If you think youmight not like lightly saturated handles, please pass on this one.
Rough Rider qualityrivals Case at a fraction of theprice, but Rough Rider knives make it affordable to carry and use collectiblegrade knives.
