Vintage, highly collectible military service album photo scrapbook from 1934-35. During the early to mid-20th century, thousands of servicemen and women were stationed in the Panama Canal Zone to protect that critical strategic waterway. Local shops and military posts sold these stylized scrapbooks for troops to collect their snapshots. Almost 200 photographs, many historically significant, including some of local indigenous tribes, U.S. soldiers, military aircraft and construction vehicles. Hand painted suede cover. Some obvious wear but in decent shape considering it's 92+ years old. Photos are in very good shape, though a few are faded. Please view the photographs and ask if you have any questions.
