It is my goal to accurately represent the item you are offerding on. The photos should include every surface and a variety of angles. Specific notable flaws will be shown in specific photos. I try to accurately describe flaws so there are no surprises when you open the box at home. Please look carefully at the photos and contact me with questions BEFORE offerding.
I have the unenviable task of liquidating my mother\'s estate. She had many and varied collections of interesting items from around the world. Preparing her things for sale is bittersweet. I cannot keep them, cannot display them and have no room to store them. Yet each one is a piece of her. Handling them gives me both joy and pain. If it strikes your fancy, meets your need or fills a gap, please offer.
If you see a mistake or flaw in my listing PLEASE let me know! I try to research each item and now and then I get it wrong. I welcome input and will make changes when I can verify your input.
Some items have visible flaws and cracks. Pay close attention the photos for natural partial cracks and \"corner bumps\". Soapstone shows damage quite well and you will notice some of the pieces in this series have tiny white spots where an edge was bumped hard enough to put in a nick.
If you see a crack that is NOT mentioned in the description it is a natural feature of the piece, of age, etc. The crack is not complete and the piece has NOT broken. On the very few repaired pieces I will explain and show close ups.The photos tell the story. Any written description would be long, boring and likely miss the most important things YOU look for. Unless stated otherwise, I insure ALL packages. No, I will NOT remove the insurance to save a few dollars. Don\'t even ask, I won\'t do it.The price includes also includes the cost of the box or padded envelope. If I get lucky I\'ll have a box in the house I can reuse, but usually not.
