This scarce 1920s S.S.Pierce *Autobacco” litho oval orange 1 lb tobacco tin, 4 1/8” x 6 1/8” x 4 5/8”, is in good condition with no rust or dents and some age related paint scratches and chips. There is a large piece of tax stamp. This highly attractive bright orange tin features the “Autobacco” tobacco trademark image of a man in a white cap who is enjoying his pipe while driving his car. The tobacco was manufactured by the S. S. Pierce Company, Boston, MA in Factory 45, District of VA. Orange “Autobacco” tins are were manufactured in a different factory than the red ones and are much more scarce.
