Set/8 Waterford Crystal HAPPINESS Millennium Series 9-1/4\" Champagne Flutes
Waterford Crystal champagne toasting flute from the celebrated Millennium Collection, “A Toast to the Year 2000.” This tall, trumpet-shaped flute is hand-cut from fine Irish lead crystal and features the “Happiness” motif — a beautifully detailed cut butterfly with radiating wing lines nestled among leaf and tulip-shaped cuts near the flared rim, tapering down a slim faceted stem to a wide, stable foot.
The Millennium Collection was designed by Paul O’Byrne and issued as a set of five toasting flutes, each representing a different wish for the new millennium: Health (ivy), Happiness (butterfly), Peace (dove), Prosperity (wheat sheaf), and Love (heart). This flute is the Happiness edition, prized by collectors for its intricate, dimensional butterfly cutting that catches and refracts light beautifully.
