This is a signed Daddy’O 2007 American heady glass sherlock-style pipe, originally acquired from a Florida head shop during the mid-2000s. Daddy’O was a regional Tampa-area glass artist active during the early American heady movement, known for selling primarily through local shops rather than large-scale online circulation.
It features a black worked body with flowing aqua and lavender linework, layered with multiple sculptural attachments including a bridged horn section, a flower-bud inspired dichroic accent, and a side-mounted worked marble with deep reflective dichro encasement and beaded detailing. The carb is hand-blown and integrated into the form.
The overall design balances function with strong visual artistry, creating a piece that feels both sculptural and organic in hand. The proportions are well-balanced at approximately 7.5 inches in length and just over 4 inches in height, making it ideal for both display and use.
The base is signed “Daddy’O 2007.” The signature is present on the bottom of the piece and can be clearly seen when zoomed in on the listing photos.
A unique, character-driven piece from a now-inactive artist, making surviving examples increasingly uncommon in circulation.
This collection was built by my late husband and carefully preserved in our home. Selling from it now helps support our daughter. Thank you to the glass-collecting community—I hope you’ll return for more listings. Every purchase is packed with care and genuine appreciation.
