Turquoise Automatic Electric 183 \"Space Maker\" Wall Telephone - Full Restoration For Sale

This neat little unit was marketed in the late 50\'s and early 60\'s as the \"Telephone for the modern kitchen\". The Space Maker takes up very little wall space and is configurable. The dial head can be turned to face left, center, or right. The same with the handset. If you have a particular way you would want the dial head and handset facing, let me know when you make your purchase. If you don\'t I will send it out in the default position of handset on the left and dial facing forward. You can always change the configuration yourself later if you like.
This phone has been painted Western Electric turquoise, this is not Automatic Electric turquoise.

Important information about this phone, please don\'t skip this part!
1. Due to the small foot print of this phone, it has no ringer in it. You will need to rely on hearing other phones ring to know a call is coming in.
2. This phone does not have a modular back on it, and it cannot be adapted to a standard modular wall plate. I will include mounting hardware for attaching the phone to the wall and I will have a 7\' cord coming out the bottom with a modular plug so that you can plug into a nearby jack. If you are going to mount this next to an existing wall jack, I can put a shorter cord on there so you don\'t have a lot of excess hanging from the phone. You can request any length of cord you need to reach the nearest jack, up to 10\'.

Condition:

• All of the phones I sell arerefurbished to look and work like new. This includes cleaning contactsand tuning TouchTone dials, updating wiring, and full function testingbefore shipping.

• Each phone gets a new handsetcord and comes with a new line cord for plugging it into the wall.

• All plastics and Bakelite arebuffed to a high shine. In the case of discolored phones, the parts aresent in for professional painting using the same materials and processthe phone company used when refurbishing phones.

• All phones are adapted formodular use, so all you have to do is plug the phone in and use it. Wallphones come with a modern modular back, ready to snap onto the wall.

About Digital Dialing:
• If you have digital phone service, you will probably be unable to dial out with this phone. This is correctable by adding a digital converter to the phone. With this device installed you will be able to use this phone on any digital system.
• If you are using a Bluetooth connection, you will be able to dial out without needing a converter. Your phone will also ring just fine. I do have easy to use Bluetooth modules available, you will find a link to it in the description above.
• Including a converter is an additional $70. If you want this option, message me for purchase instructions.

Warranty:

• I will fix your phone free of charge if you send it to me for as long as you ownyour phone. I will pay return shipping after repairs are made (USAshipping only).
