Twinton figurines are a rare, highly collectible line of vintage ceramics designed by renowned sculptor Don Winton, co-founder of Twinton.
In 1971, Don Winton branched out to design a specialized, whimsical figurine line. Twinton Inc. was officially formed, and production ran briefly during 1972
Because the line suffered from very poor sales—originally distributed through retailers like JC Penney—the company shut down shortly after it began. Due to the low sales, many of the figurines were destroyed. It is estimated that only about 2,000 units of each character design were ever manufactured, making surviving pieces incredibly scarce and difficult to track down today
The Models: The collection consists of roughly 20 distinct designs featuring charming, expressive children. Each model is stamped or incised on the bottom base with a specific model code prefix (\"T-\" followed by a number) alongside \"Twinton 1972\"
Disneyland Connection: Some of the most sought-after variations are the children wearing Mickey Mouse Club ear hats. These specific versions were sold directly as souvenirs inside Disneyland in 1972
