Rare U.P.R.R. silver plated PLATE COVER - marked IS INTERNATIONAL SILVER CO UPRR 020 6 IN 37measures 6 3/8 outside edge - 6 inside - 2 3/4 high at center - 3/4 vent / finger hole to top
heavy for its size and silver plate is very thick NO worn through spots even to edge or rim - solid nickle body
rare item as these would cover the food to be presented and usually taken away by the waiter - no souvenir availability like forks and spoons etc
helps keep food warm and protected from dust - these would be kept in hot water until needed and do a pretty good job of keeping food warm for quite awhile
