Unsmoked 100+ year old GVG First Quality Genod Briar Tobacco Pipe Bent Dublin For Sale

Here’s a cool one! The bowl of this pipe was made over 100 years ago in France. GVG back then was a very nice hand made pipe brand but today is a cheaper pipe (with the family’s name Genod as the brand) as the name was sold off long ago to a company now mass producing pipes with that brand. However this pipe is unsmoked and the bowl is one of the very old, turn of the century, pipes found hiding in a sub basement of the GVG factory I believe after it sustained bombing in WWII in France. These old partially finished pipes were then completed, hence its newer but still old stem. I collect and have sold 100+ year old pipes and usually they are many hundreds of dollars more than this one and it is quite the experience lighting up some stupendously aged briar someone from that era crafted long, long ago. However since a decent sized stash of these were found back then and some have sat unsmoked and because today a modern era Genod is a lower tier pipe the price is quite reasonable for this piece. Look up GVG’s history to learn more.
