Mark Tinsky has been one of the steady hands of American pipe making since the 1970s. Best known for his American Smoking Pipe Co. work, Tinsky built his reputation on clean engineering, comfortable stems, and pipes meant to be smoked hard and often.
His work covers a wide range, from traditional English-inspired shapes to more individual freehands, with smooth, sandblasted, and rustic finishes all showing up over the years. Higher-grade Tinskys can carry some excellent grain, but even his more straightforward pieces have a strong following because they tend to smoke extremely well.
Tinsky has been making pipes for roughly half a century now, and that kind of longevity carries weight. He’s one of those American makers whose name means something to collectors without needing much explanation.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
