Unusual 1900s MARRUBIUM (Horehound) Porcelain APOTHECARY Cabinet Drawer KNOB A++
Marrubium vulgare herb was used as a cough suppressant in the early 1900s.
The porcelain surface where the name is written on measures about 2 inches by 1-3/4 inches, just about 1-1/2 inches in depth when screwed in to mount, brass screw thread shank is 2 inches.
This knob is in very good condition, no bad chips or cracks, one small nick on backside, strong lettering, great color, no stains, some wear to gold border, mounting shank still good, could be used on a cabinet today, no issues.
A rare find for collectors of pre-1930s medical antiques and has been carefully preserved over the years.
