WORKED METAL
BRUTALIST
WALL ART!
MONUMENTAL SIZEDDIMENSIONS: Approximately 50" x 38"
Here with this brutalist leaf art, nature is re-imagined through the
eyes of the metal artisan, sculpted and shaped to become a reflection
of the real thing! The textural and visual appeal of this piece is sensational!Brutalism emerged in Europe as an architectural style in the late forties.
The movement varied and the term was adopted by architects and artists
over the next several decades. Brutalism embodied several key elements.
A sense of rawness. Exposed or unfinished materials and visual weight
and presence. In general, brutalist art and buildings express no effort in
trying to look comfortable or delicate. They are defiant and not compliant.
This large, detailed piece embodies the brutalist ethos and was one of the
classic mid century wall treatments employed by designers to
add textural eye candy to the walls of living spaces! This is a particularly
early piece and dates to the late fifties. This beautiful work is in fine condition. The large size of this piece
may limit certain deliverable locations outside the US and costs
may vary from the flat rate listed. This would make a wonderful focal point decoration for your NY penthouse,
Palm Springs atomic ranch or UK summer home!
