Beautiful vintage collection of 9 hand-decorated glass Christmas ornaments in 3 original boxes, made in Romania and labeled “Created By European Craftsmen.”
Each original box contains 3 ornaments, giving you 9 ornaments total in three coordinating designs:
* 3 red glass ornaments, approximately 2”, decorated with elaborate gold glitter foliage and banding.
* 3 silver glass ornaments, approximately 2”, hand decorated with metallic green holly-style leaves, red berry accents and glitter.
* 3 elongated silver finial/icicle ornaments, approximately 4”, with coordinating green leaves, red berries and glitter accents.
The boxes are marked Hand Decorated Glass Ornaments – Created By European Craftsmen – Made in Romania, No. 7557, 3 pieces per box. Another panel shows Item #7557/1/82C and UPC 048266075578.
These have a wonderful traditional Eastern European Christmas look, and the three different shapes make a particularly attractive coordinated set on a tree.
The glass ornaments appear to be in very good vintage condition with their original caps and loops. As expected with hand decoration, there are slight variations between individual ornaments. Please examine the close-up photos for the exact condition of the paint, glitter and finishes.
All three original green window boxes are included. Boxes show age/storage wear including scuffs, edge and corner wear, old stickers and/or sticker residue. Someone previously marked the boxes as a set of three. This does not affect the ornaments.
Based on the matching item information I found, these appear to date to the early 1990s, approximately 1991. Because the boxes themselves are not dated, I am listing them more broadly as 1990s rather than representing 1991 as a manufacturer-confirmed date.
