Vintage hand-blown cadmium yellow art glass double-gourd (onion) form vase with vertical optic swirl ribbing.
Possibly Czech glass, though not confirmed.
Measures approximately 5.5 inches tall. Clear bright yellow in normal light. Under long-wave UV light it fluoresces a strong orange — the classic reaction for cadmium (or cadmium-selenium) glass.
Open pontil scar on the base (no maker’s marks). The upper interior of the neck has a smooth, frosted/matte band that appears consistent with intentional grinding, possibly for a missing ground-glass stopper. The rest of the piece is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs noted.
Attractive small cabinet or windowsill size. Perfect for collectors of UV-reactive glass, cadmium glass, or mid-century European-style art glass.
