See pictures for condition. I research all items on my page before selling and try to provide the best information / pictures possible. I DO NOT alter items in any way once they're in my possession in order to keep the piece's history as-is. As with all of my listings, please do your own research to confirm my findings. I just like to buy and sell cool things, learn the history of pieces, and get said item to the right person for it to be displayed for years to come. If you have any questions or need additional photos please let me know.

This is the American Mk 339, a Mechanical-Time-Fuze (MTF), spring-driven clockwork, nose fuze designed to be a universal fuze for canister or cluster-bomb type weapons that are delivered from high-performance aircraft.
It is presently employed on the cluster-bomb, anti-tank, Mk 20 Rockeye, CBU-99 and CBU-100 and in other weapons which dispense a payload or submunitions.
The nose-mounted Mk 339 fuze provides two accurate pre-flight settable times; either one can be selected in-flight.
Explosive leads and bursters to open the canister are not a part of the fuze but are provided as a part of the canister case.
In flight, the pilot may select either one of two time intervals.
The functioning time for either of the two settings can, for the MOD 0, range from 1.2 to 50-secs and for the MOD 1 range, from 1.2 to 100-secs.
The two inner dials for each MOD are marked in 0.1-sec increments.
The timing accuracy is within 0.100-secs for settings from 1.2 to 10-secs and within 1% for settings greater than 10-secs.

Great condition, amazing display, very rare, and from what I can find is a Hamilton Watch company display piece provided to high level executives. This item was always used as a practice / display tool, was never functioning, and is inert.
