Beautiful Rosenthal hand-painted porcelain hawfinch figurine, model #1652, marked “Kirschkernbeisser” underneath.
This expressive woodland bird is perched on a sculpted branch with its head tilted inquisitively to one side. Its substantial beak and contrasting plumage are complemented by warm brown coloring, a black throat, cream-colored breast, and dark wings accented with white and blue-gray details.
The naturalistic setting features softly shaded pale green leaves and peach-colored cherries above an irregular ivory-white base. A glossy glazed finish highlights the sculpted feathers, foliage, and rich coloring.
