Up for sale is an authentic, vintage 8.5 inch commemorative souvenir plate from the historic Royal American Shows, famously known as \"The World\'s Largest Midway.\"

This plate features the colorful Royal American Shows crest at the center, flanked by a lion and a tiger. The bottom features the classic, humorous red text: \"STOLEN FROM CAR 51 SHOW TRAIN.\"

Car 51 was the private, luxury business railcar used by the carnival\'s owners and executives. These heavy-duty restaurant-ware plates were not sold to the public on the midway; instead, they were custom-produced through local Tampa distributor Forrester-Smith, Inc. for special internal functions and charity sales held during the winter offseason in Florida.

Condition Details:

Front: Excellent vintage condition. The central graphics are crisp, vibrant, and clear. The gold scalloped rim and inner accent ring show beautifully with excellent luster.

Back: Clearly stamped with the \"Forrester-Smith, Inc. Tampa, Florida\" distributor mark. The underside includes the three original factory kiln stilt/manufacturing marks characteristic of authentic mid-century vitrified china (one on the foot ring shows minor surface oxidation/rust staining as pictured, which is typical for its age and porous unglazed clay). No chips, cracks, or spidering cracks.
