VTG Sanyo Toki “Ryuho Kiln” Arita Blue & White Stem Goblet Cup 6¼″ Patchwork For Sale

Condition: Very good!: The base has a small drilled hole. Minor manufacture glaze skips and expected surface wear on the foot rim. Overall displayable, but disclosure advised.

A richly decorated Arita-ware stem goblet from Sanyo Toki’s Ryuho kiln, featuring cobalt blue underglaze in a complex patchwork of historic Japanese design motifs: sayagata lattice, seigaiha waves, kikkō hexagons, shippo roundels, and blossoms.

The stem band includes a “寿” (kotobuki – longevity) roundel. The foot carries a continuous landscape scene in the same underglaze palette.

Clear square mark of Sanyo Toki reading三洋陶器indicates Ryuho-kiln production in Arita, Saga Prefecture.

Measurements: Height ~6¼″; Rim diameter ~3¼″; Foot diameter ~~3¼″–3½″.

A refined collector’s piece from late-20th century Japanese porcelain art — elegant display, albeit repaired.
