Vintage Montreal Expo 67 Souvenir \"Hostess Doll\". Rare and in great condition!
This highly detailed souvenir doll, resembling a Tammy or Sindy Barbie clone, captures the distinct aesthetic of 1960s fashion and aviation culture. Produced as a commemorative keepsake for the landmark 1967 International and Universal Exposition in Montreal, Canada, this rare collectible is styled to match the official uniform worn by the pavilion hostesses during the event.
She wears a structured, medium-blue velour or velveteen skirt suit featuring three large front buttons, a high collar, and distinctive white contrast trim on the cuffs. Underneath is a white blouse. Beneath this is a set of blue underwear.
She wears the distinctive blue and white side-slanted flight hat (garrison style), a trademark creation of the designer, Michel Robichaud. She carries a black faux-leather shoulder bag with a gold-tone buckle, and classic black high-heeled pumps.
Her brunette hair is curly and styled with the
flip hairstyle characteristic of the mid-to-late 1960s \"Mod\" fashion era.
Great condition loose doll with all her accessories! Some scuffs on her jacket. Great face paint, the limbs are a little stiff but poseable. No discoloration or fading. Clean and looks new. Hard to find in this condition.
