Verde Antique is a form of Serpentine, marble like stone, which was mined for its beauty. This Verde Antique specimen comes from the Michigan Greenstone Belt in the Marquette region of the Michigan Upper Peninsula.
This piece has some rare and beautiful colors. Most have shades of green but this one has some red in it as well.
