For your consideration, a pair of antique, vintage bookends, manufactured by Philadelphia Manufacturing Co. with their label a fixed to the base of the bookends.
I have listed these as new (other)., not because they are new, but because they are in fabulous vintage condition, they are not broken in any way they are not loose in any way. They are really in what I would call perfect aged, vintage condition. And they will definitely look good in any setting you may choose in your household or apartment.
Key details include:
Material: Cast metal, possibly silver-plated. But I have not had it tested. They have their original felt bottoms to prevent any scratching or marking to your furniture. The original labels from Philadelphia manufacturing company are still in place on the bottom.
Design: Features a monk or scholar figure reading a book, seated in front of a bookshelf and globe.
Style: The design is reminiscent of a library or scholarly setting.
Age: They are vintage, possibly dating back to the mid-20th century or older.
Function: Designed to support books and prevent them from falling over. Had approximately 2 3/4 pounds per bookend they will certainly support whatever you decide to keep in place.
