Item Description:For sale is an authentic, rare turn-of-the-century celluloid pinback button representing the Personal Liberty League. This ad-hoc political lobby group was formed primarily by anti-prohibition business leaders and members of the liquor industry to oppose the rise of the American temperance movement.Front Design: Features the bold text "PERSONAL LIBERTY LEAGUE" wrapped around a classic, vibrant waving American flag on a cream-colored background.Back/Reverse: Retains its original internal paper advertising backer reading: "MANUFACTURED BY THE MEEK COMPANY, COSHOCTON, OHIO." The classic lithographer's emblem is visible under the pin.Condition Report:Excellent vintage condition considering its age. The front face is smooth with bright coloring and very minimal surface wear. The back features a secure, functional pin mechanism and clean, legible original manufacturer paper with light, natural aging/toning.
