Vintage booklet, "The Story of the Maine Clam (Mya arenaria)," published by the Maine Department of Sea and Shore Fisheries, Vickery-Hill Building, Augusta, Maine, revised January 1950. Illustrated with period photographs of clam digging, clam seed size comparisons, and predator identification (the polynices/cockle drill). A nice piece of Maine fisheries and natural-history ephemera.

Condition: pre-owned, age-appropriate wear -- light soiling and handling wear to the cover, complete and intact. Smoke-free home.
