Vintage 1951 Evan K. Shaw Disney Alice in Wonderland Tweedle Dee Ceramic FigurineWonderful early Disney ceramic figurine depicting Tweedle Dee from Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. Produced by Evan K. Shaw / American Pottery in conjunction with the release of Disney’s 1951 animated film.An original 1951 Disney merchandising catalog specifically lists Tweedle Dee among the Alice in Wonderland figurines distributed by the Evan K. Shaw Company, making this a wonderful piece of early Disneyana. Tweedle Dee is depicted in his colorful red, yellow and blue costume with black shoes, finished in a glossy hand-painted glaze.Measurements: Approximately 3.75” tall x 2.5” wide.Condition: Very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs observed. There is age-related crazing throughout the glaze, consistent with a ceramic piece of this age. Original foil label is no longer present.
