Vintage 1958 Chilean Knife Horn Handle Hand Tooled Leather Sheath Folk Art For Sale

Vintage Chilean knife reportedly purchased by my father in Santiago, Chile in 1958. The knife features a polished amber-colored natural-material handle, brass guard, carbon-steel blade and an unusually elaborate hand-tooled and hand-colored leather sheath. The sheath is decorated with a Chilean landscape and prominently marked “Chile.”The knife and sheath aremid-20th-century handmade Chilean folk/artisan work. I have not identified the individual maker. The handle appears to be bovine horn, although I have not chemically tested the material.Please view photos carefully for complete detail.Let me know of any questions!
