VINTAGE CASE XX USA 6265 SAB FOLDING HUNTER — PRE-DOT ERAOutstanding vintage Case folding hunter with loads of character and a desirable early CASE XX U.S.A. pre-dot tang stamp.This is the classic Case 6265 SAB two-blade Folding Hunter, dating to the approximately 1965–1969 era, before Case introduced its dot-dating system in 1970.The reverse tang is clearly stamped:6265 SABThe opposite tang carries the classic:CASE XX
U.S.A.This is a large, substantial traditional Case pattern featuring two full-size folding blades, jigged brown handle scales, Case oval shield, nickel-silver bolsters and brass liners.CONDITION: This is an authentic vintage working knife and shows it. Both blades exhibit considerable age-related patina, oxidation, staining, scratches and evidence of previous use/sharpening. Bolsters and handles show normal age and handling wear. The jigged handles present very nicely for their age, and the Case shield remains intact.I have NOT attempted to polish or restore the knife. It is being offered with its vintage finish and character intact. Please examine all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description.Includes the Old Timer leather belt sheath shown in the photographs. The sheath fits the knife but is not represented as the original Case sheath.A great survivor from one of Case’s classic American-made folding hunter patterns.
