Working cowboys, ranchers and young folk throughout these areas competed regularly in livestock shows and rodeo events. This fantastic buckle is from the very heart of the Texas golden era of roughstock riding. The 1980’s was an especially iconic time for BULLRIDING with legends like Don Gay and Charles Sampson dominating many events. This buckle was made by the NELSON SILVIA COMPANY of Houston……I think it is the favorite trophy buckle producer in all of Texas, and maybe everywhere.
