Vintage 1997 Dakin Pillsbury Doughboy Poppin\' Fresh 8\" Beanbag Plush with Tag For Sale

Poppin\' Fresh, the Pillsbury Doughboy, has been the face of Pillsbury baking since 1965, and he was a favorite of the late-1990s beanbag craze. This soft little Doughboy was created for Pillsbury by Creations by Dakin as a promotional beanbag, and he still wears his original Pillsbury hang tag. He would look right at home on a kitchen shelf, in a baking-themed display or in a collection of advertising mascots.

The sewn tag reads \"© 1997 The Pillsbury Company,\" \"Pillsbury Doughboy Beanbag\" and \"Created for Pillsbury by Creations by Dakin, Woodland Hills, CA.\" He has a soft polyester plush body, a cloth chef hat with the blue Pillsbury badge, a cloth scarf and blue eyes. He stands about 8 inches tall and weighs about 5 ounces. The round blue Pillsbury hang tag is attached on its string.

Condition: Used. The plush is yellowed and dingy overall, with a few small brown specks on the hat and face, a frayed scarf knot and some wear along the smile seam. The hat, scarf, both eyes, hat badge and hang tag are all present. See photos.
